to tht end, it's ESSENTIAL that we untangle sexuality & desire from objectification. things being framed as sexual, sensual, sexy, & desirable is not automatically "the male gaze." the male gaze refers to objectification above all else and the power fantasies of cishet men.

Full agree. As three lesbians in a trenchcoat I can assure y'all I have no problem looking at women being sexy, and decrying art for liking how women look is ridiculous.

Women being depicted as sexually attractive is not the problem. The problem has always been that it's all they're allowed to be.

Yeah, I also think it's important to remember that sexy art depicting women isn't in itself the problem. Things like women *only* being represented in media when the function is to have a sexy character are what is the problem, it's a structural thing, not a prohibition of the subject matter.

I planned to add an extra chapter anyway but not going to worry about it. I never envisioned ATC to be incredibly long and conversations between OCs always end up lengthening chapters so who knows. Maybe it'll thicken up naturally. We will see. We will see.
