You might remember his 2022 Bluecoat installation ‘OK! Cherub!’, which featured a giant yellow worm representing Rest, a group of green frogspawn representing Community and a giant cartoon arm representing Connection.
Bruce Asbestos' work combines painting, sculpture and performance, and blurs the lines between high fashion, fine art and popular culture. 👀👕

His designs ‘Hooboo’ and ‘Octopus’are now featured on two t-shirts available to buy from our exhibition Just Browsing.

We’re opening our Garden and Sandon rooms to local artists, makers, and creatives. The market will feature a wide range of locally crafted, handmade goods, celebrating the creativity of our community.
As part of our upcoming exhibition ‘Just Browsing’, Tenneson will feature a set of t-shirts with printed slogans instructing the wearer to take part in a piece of performance art.

Chester Tenneson’s work is interested in the nature of institutional language and behaviour, drawing influence from archives, signage, written rules, taxonomies and tropes of advertising to create painting, writing, performance, sculpture and print.
