Macie is one of many that truly haunt me. She tried to save her family and herself.
Today’s post may feel different because Charlie Kirk was a public figure who inspired strong feelings on both sides. Our mission remains the same: to remember the person, the family left behind, and the tragedy of gun violence that touches every community.
What is clear is that gun violence claimed another life & violence is never the answer to differences.
At TBFP, we honor the birthdays of those whose lives were cut short by gun violence. We do not choose based on politics or beliefs... only on the fact that a life was taken too soon.
Every man’s death diminishes us. While Charlie did not share the same views as many who advocate for gun safety reform, his death is a tragedy. He was a husband and father to two young children whose lives are forever changed.

The full picture of the shooting remains under investigation.
Today, Oct 14, is the birthday of Charles James Kirk. He died at age 31, shot & killed on the campus of Utah Valley Univ in 2025.

Charlie left college at 18 to pursue activism. He founded a nonprofit political org in 2012, published books, hosted a radio show, & became a well-known public figure.
