The Athletic's Ontario workers voted decisively yesterday in their OLRB election 15-1 in favour of unionization.

We strongly believe The Athletic is a federal employer in Canada and that all workers belong in a single bargaining unit. This vote signals our strength and unity in the steps ahead.

Our American colleagues belong in the Times Guild. Sports jobs are Times Guild jobs.

By organizing, we want to ensure that The Athletic — a place we’re proud to work — will be an employer that supports us, treats us well, compensates us fairly, and gives us a seat at the table.
