I’m a concerned U.S. citizen who’s trying to find peace of mind through art activism, craftivism, letter writing, and more. I aim to inform and encourage others to make a difference even when anxiety and depression make me feel like I can’t do it myself.

As bleak as it often seems, I think this regime will ultimately fail, because most of us don’t want to live in Project 2025’s America. The real challenge is convincing people that it isn’t hopeless or dangerous to choose activism over apathy and then organizing + executing effective strategies.

The slow speed of the legal process & bureaucracy often works in our favor even if we eventually lose. Lawyers can throw sand in the works by getting injunctions. Opponents of bills get time to raise awareness, make allies, & garner public support — and the public is often on our side.
theanxiousactivist.bsky.social
You’re 100% correct that he’s purging judges & stacking courts, but we’ve got reasons not to give up hope. Even judges he appointed rule against him sometimes; other R-leaning ones do so more frequently. I’ve linked one example below. Plus, his allies’ incompetence works in our favor a lot.
Meet the Trump-appointed judge who told Trump no on Portland troop deployment
U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut is described by people who have worked with her for years as fair-minded and apolitical.

May I just point out that the very idea that he’ll target “only Democrat programs” is ridiculous? Public programs don’t exclusively serve one political party. This is just more proof that he doesn’t care who he hurts; he only cares about who gets blamed for it.
theanxiousactivist.bsky.social
I expect he will, too, but our behavior will determine whether the Courts find cause to overturn it. Public sentiment will probably play a big role in shaping their opinions as well.
theanxiousactivist.bsky.social
Also, you’re right that he’ll try to make up an excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act and enact martial law — but the Courts can strike that down if he’s done so on a false premise. The more flimsy we make his excuse look, the more likely it is that the Courts will take our side instead of his.
theanxiousactivist.bsky.social
Maybe I should’ve phrased that better? 😬 I fully support antagonizing this regime via mockery and civil disobedience. It’s just violent & criminal actions protestors should avoid, because those provide the legal justification to enact martial law and further oppress people.
theanxiousactivist.bsky.social
Thank you for reminding everyone of this. We all have to be careful to not take any action that the Mango Mussolini could use to justify invoking the Insurrection Act and declaring martial law.

Here’s some articles that explain what the Republicans’ SNAP cuts & their decision to let ACA tax credits expire may mean to you:

Lastly, no should believe Vance cares about women not being able to feed their kids, because he cast the tie-breaking vote Republicans needed to cut funds for SNAP. Their refusal to extend the ACA subsidies their own constituents need is why the govt. is shut down.

Likewise, refusing to identify a bribe as a bribe doesn’t mean that it’s not a bribe. The fact that Homan wasn’t charged doesn’t mean much when you consider how untrustworthy the people running the FBI & DOJ are. Remember, Pam Bondi refused to charge Epstein with state crimes when she was FL’s AG.
theanxiousactivist.bsky.social
Vance’s argument is essentially:

I see no evil
I hear no evil
If a Republican does it
We’re calling it legal

IRL, there are no separate laws for Republicans and Dems. The FBI recorded Homan accepting $50K in a paper bag. Refusing to watch the tape doesn’t change that it happened.

I’m guessing too many people don’t know what oligarchs are. We need some memes with the definition to go viral before using that term is effective.

Trump’s “Loyalty Oath” would let him and his unqualified bureaucrats run our colleges and universities. We must demand that our schools reject the regime’s blackmail attempts by committing to uphold freedom of speech and provide an affordable, safe education for all. 👇

The regime’s firing people who track, prevent, control +/or respond to diseases, injuries, causes of death, epidemics, pandemics, public health crises, drug overdoses, etc.

No need to worry, right? It’s not like knowing when & why a bunch of folks suddenly drop dead or get injured is important… 😬

Kudos to these activists for calling out some of the people in our govt. who are shielding pedophiles! Light art is a great alternative to graffiti for activists who want to share images with the general public to raise awareness.

“As humans, we’ve TWO things to do during our time on this Earth. Care for our fellow humans & care for the environment the species was placed upon to sustain survivability. If those who wish to be our leaders do not embrace that simple premise, they’re NOT fit to be leaders.”

Whenever somebody says ICE only targets “the worst of the worst,” remember that they’re detaining & planning to deport a legal green card holder who’s lived here 47 yrs for overdrawing her account with $25 check 10yrs ago.

The real “crime of moral turpitude” here is persecuting an innocent granny.

Some faith leaders & religious activists have been attacked by ICE agents while praying for those very agents’ souls.

“One of the chants that has become ubiquitous at these protests […] is, ‘Love your neighbor, love your God, save your soul and quit your job,’” said [Rev. David] Black.

“Every time we have been attacked with pepper bullets or tear gas or pepper spray that I have been present, it has felt like it came from anger that we were there, and not from any determined safety need or protocol,” [Rev. Hannah Kardon] said. “They are unhinged.”
