This is an interesting point considering the Senedd rejected the principle a few weeks ago.
Assisted dying related stuff... something that went under the radar earlier this week was that Mark Drakeford told Politics Live that he also thought there was a "high likelihood" the bill will need a consent motion (i.e a vote in the Senedd).
Worth stating the earlier Senedd motion was a much broader principle than the one suggested by the bill at second reading, and none of the safeguards were discussed very much. There were also a bunch of abstentions (9) - larger than the majority against
