The 3D Final Fantasy III remake has tons of unused dialogue in its code.

There is about one unused scene per area, and these scenes display the main characters' personalities more clearly than the final (which only hints at some of their traits.

Listen, all I wanted was Leviathan jams (that would see limited use as I only play single-player - yeah that's right, shut up).
Instead I got a crushed will to go on. Again.
I wish whoever decided that the hard mode bosses for Dissidia NT should target the player exclusively and nerfing the teammates a very "why would you do this".
My thoughts on the new Dissidia in a nutshell.
I've quit mobile games so far, and Opera Omnia more or less broke my trust in a Dissidia game featuring Luneth, Arc, Refia or Ingus in any meaningful capacity.
It's 2025, people.
We can't keep doing this.
Every time somebody calls Onion Knight "Luneth", a Chocobo dies.
(Unless it's an Ivalician Chocobo, in which case it is constantly beaten by a roving band of grinding players)
Why yes, I never did get over Opera Omnia.
(Though if it ends up being ARPG nonsense, I will be happy if the most engagement I need to give to the game is cursory glances).
A new Dissidia (mobile) game has been announced.
I can't tell you who exactly will be in it.
But I can confidently tell you who won't be.
I believe I posted about it in passing, but the interview goes into some pretty interesting info on the remake, such as the balancing, why the unused text is unused and the scrapped multiplayer versus mode that few sources mention.

Luneth (Final Fantasy III) illustration by Sara Shimokobe for the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game:
For Luneth, his sigil is the belts of his vest, creating a 3x3 pattern.
For Arc, his sigil is the X on his belt buckle.
For Refia, her sigil is the cross on her brooch.
For Ingus, his sigil is his teardrop-shaped necklace.

It's been a bit, so here's a more minor bit of Final Fantasy III remake trivia.
Each of the four protagonists have a sigil based on a piece of their outfit. These sigils appear on certain jobs such as the Knight or Magus jobs.

(And I am not getting Crossworlds until later)
Mega Man Battle & Chase fans, we're so back*
(I have not played Battle & Chase)
Why yes, that IS Solaris in his design.

Got a commission from @curse360.bsky.social, who does incredible work.
There's a context to this, in the form of a fever dream of a crossover AU that I don't think I have it in me to tweet about so...
Ingus if he clone and final boss (guest staring the Chaos Rings from Knuckles' Chaotix)
Remember that post about how I commissioned @curse360.bsky.social to create a final boss version of Ingus('s Clone)?
Yeah, he was only half of a final boss.
Here's Onion Knight('s clone), the other half.

Like, Ingus is the big brother type, but he can barely handle Luneth and Arc (as seen in the unused text) and Onion Knight is probably the type to resent his brand of concern even more than Arc did.
And Arc eventually got pissed enough to leave the party to prove a point.
I want to see Ingus and Onion Knight interact in some fashion, in large part because I can't imagine a dynamic between them not starting off as a complete shitshow, even with the potential for it to get better as time went on.
Refia, of course, chews them out over this as she feels Desch was playing with Salina's heart, but they defend Desch might've had his reasons before they take their leave.
The scene is capped off by Luneth reminding Ingus that he made the girls at Castle Sasune cry. Ingus isn't amused.

This is somewhat of a follow-up from an earlier scene in Canaan.
As they talk with Salina, Desch's gf who's crying over him, Luneth and Arc get jealous and wish that they had girls crying over them.
