Believe me I get it. Its constant. I just had the added bonus of security/police being called on me just for using the bathroom. Fortunately, back then all I had to do was take off my coat and it was sorted. Though a few times the officer told me to deal with my facial hair & id explain it was PCOS

Yup. I've had issues in bathrooms my whole adult life. Its why I insist we push back on perceived norms for bodies, even in humor. The less we police ourselves, the more we take power from those trying to police our bodies.

That said I am much closer to a full beard than he is to having a full head of hair, which is also fine but I enjoy that it bothers him.

We let them pick out their clothes but curate thwir choices so they don't say have thwir heart set on a tank top when its pouring rain/aren't getting a dress they wont wear with leggings b/c they like to do cart wheels & play on the bars

Omg, the eldest is all about accessories and wants to regrow his afro (he LOVES going to the barber though). Middle bear is waiting to get his hair locked (needs a little more length) and is particular about track pants. Littlest bear wants his hair braided and matches from heat to toe
