A red and yellow helicopter is parked on the ramp at Springbank Airport near Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on the afternoon of October 19, 2025. It is tentatively identified as CH-146 Griffon from 417 Combat Support Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force flying out of Cold Lake, Alberta. It is marked with RCAF insignia and has the words « Canada » and « RESCUE SAUVETAGE » painted on the side of the main part of the fuselage. The helicopter is pointed away from the camera and slightly to the right, facing the taxiway adjacent to the main east/west runway. A number of crew can be seen. A crew member is also up on top of the helicopter, working near the main rotor. A number of the rotor tower cowlings have been removed to provide access. A subdivision and rolling hills are visible in the distance. The sky is mostly blue with streaky white clouds. It is sunny but based on the dress of the crew, quite chilly.
