Got in a new tiled fog of war. I love the look of it and how it instantly discovers a open room. I also like it as my last implementation you could see other rooms throughout the map lol

This is how weird the pathing was getting. The left bad line would snap to nav mesh polygon intersections. Had to do some custom work to smooth it out!

I hit a MASSIVE brick wall in Unreal and its pathing not being the most direct route. I was super upset because I couldn't fix this and didn't want to work on it but I pushed through it and created this area check system!

I'm working on simplifying the perception and enemy states. Its turning out great so far! I'm really enjoying the ! and the ? displayed for the type of sight the enemy has on the character.

Implemented loot drops yesterday. I did some art to make a little bag and made some twinkly stars. I love the cursor changing to a loot icon when hovering the bag!

I updated interactions to have key binds (you can see the icons bottom right). Modular inputs are important to me as a goal for this project is to make sure disabled gamers can map inputs however they need, to make sure they can enjoy the game!

Its a weird good feeling when you do a quick implementation of something and love it so you do a proper implementation of it and it works out the first try and looks exactly as the test and you just go "Well I guess that works"

I wanted to make this recent build of Desperation super solid. Then I had a idea to rework a big part of the game to really push the best mechanics of the game. With that said update 7 is up in prep for some bigger changes!
