You'd think so. Just yesterday an acquaintance was told by our Congressman's office that he has "no obligation" to service constituents or to explain anything to them. I knew he was terrible, but now it's i ln the open.
I missed that. Well, I avoid hearing his voice. So he does use it for men, too. Definitely, it' his substitute n----. Pretty obvious anyway.
Wait, what? Allow Medicare to be cut by $100 billion? Why? Have you adopted Yarvin-Musk's view that old people just need to die faster?
No "almost" about it. Nearly all US states are "at will" states, meaning employers can fire employees for any reason, except a prohibited form of discrimination. But they do that anyway & mostly get away with it.
Shoukd we know who she is?
Of course. Defund what works because, no doubt, the non-profits must be "woke."
Aw, their faces in the left pic! So hopeful!
True. Low iq is reserved for Black and Brown women.
Strong aspect. He only calls Black and Hispanic women low IQ. Never white women, never men.
Building prisons for 100,000 people better bring a torrent of criticism.

Your regular reminder that mainstream pro-democracy political parties do not make restricting suffrage the central pillar of their policy platform, & it was a mistake for us, as a society, to continue tolerating this stuff in any way, shape, or form, even long before the GOP went full authoritarian.
If this ballot measure passes in 9 days in Maine, it will upend the rules of elections in that state in the future — starting, you know it, with next year’s Senate race.

It was pushed by a conservative organization that is aiming to shift the state to a GOP majority.

A Ballot Measure Targets Mail Voting in Maine - Bolts
Question 1, on the November ballot, would set up a barrage of new restrictions on absentee ballots that would considerably affect older voters and people with disabilities.

No doubt that's what I did when I signed up all those years ago.
Maybe. I haven't downloaded anything recently. I should try and see if I've just not paid attention.
I've never understood why any Democrat voted to confirm him. They should have done whatever it took to prevent him having any role in the government. It's just beyond me.
He has the heart and soul of a developer. Which is to say, none. Developers can't see beauty in nature. They look at a forest or field of flowers & imagine a building there. That's all.
Yes. That's why they give you "special deals." Then they charge you more for something else. Maybe you end up not saving anything, after all?
Hmm. Okay, thanks to all. I never did get why it worked that way. I signed up so long ago I don't remember the process. When Overdrive was new, I had a Nook, but I did get a Kindle a few years later.
Yes, obviously. Not my question. My question is why does *Libby* forward to Amazon? Which it does, for me, even though I rarely ask to have it sent to the Kindle these days. I think I understand why now, sort of, though still not sure why Libby set up the process that way.
So, if I understand this, because I first set up Libby for Kindle years ago, it will continue to "forward to Amazon" no matter what device I have it sent to? It sounds like even if I de-activated my Libby account & set it up again, because it's encoded, Libby would still work that way?
It was the '80s when he took out the full-page NYT ad calling for the Central Park 5 to be executed, though. That's politics. The kind of politics that interested him.
Yrs, I know all that. But, it's the process of getting the book I don't get. Why does Libby, when I click borrow, change screen to the chosen book on Amazon? Then it downloads, from Amazon. Why go to Amazon if that's not where the book comes from? How, exactly, does it work? Why the Amazon step?
Yes, our county library that's all e-books has Hoopla. I tend not to think about it, admittedly. When I have, it hasn't had what I was looking for. I've always wondered why Libby uses Amazon, but never followed up on it.
Hmm. I've never quite understood why, though Libby is only through a library account. But every book I've ever gotten through Libby has a step where it goes to Amazon for the book, even if it's going to my phone. I need to understand the process better, & the reason it works that way.
The poster is the *author* of books being removed. And have you never noticed yourLibby books process through Amazon?
