Look, all I’m saying is that the lasers we had in high school science class were so hot that we weren’t allowed to go within a few feet of them. A laser able to reach the core of a planet, in theory, must still be pretty strong. 🤣

This shot from A NEW HOPE is regularly the butt of “Why don’t they have guardrails?!” jokes, but I’ve always wondered how these guys were able to stand ten feet away from a laser blast powerful enough to blow up an entire planet.

This, friends, is what keeps me up at night.
