It was a fantastic ride, frankly I didn't think she'd pull it off given she was riding the favorite, which notoriously don't win Melb Cups, but kudos to her & her win.
I've only just started "Salem's Lot" and it's akin to being in a time machine & gazing back into the past, as well as being a great yarn.
And to top things off I've go Asimov's "Foundation" and Morgan's "Altered Carbon" sitting on my shelf staring at me, egging me on to start reading them. Nope, no way. When I've finished Caesar & "Salem's Lot" then I'll start in on them. #reading #BookSky
Finished reading Arkady Martine's "A Desolation Called Peace", great read. Note to self though, read one book at a time not three at a time. Still chugging through Caesar's "Conquest of Gaul" & getting stuck into "Salem's Lot" #reading #BookSky

There’s a lot of fear in our country right now.

But Día de los Muertos reminds us that love casts out fear.

This is the Texas I know. This is the Texas we’re fighting for.
You're the dude who even Strahd shivers at the mention of your name and/or the clatter of your dice
Started reading Stephen King's "Salem's Lot" at the same time as I'm reading Caesar's "Conquest of Gaul" & Arkady Martine's "A Desolation Called Peace". Hmm hope I'm not biting off more than I can chew here #reading #books #BookSky
Managed to actually meet my maximum 2000 word count for today woot! #wordcount #writing #WriteSky #WIP
Managed to make my daily minimum word target of 1000 words. Been a busy day running D&D as well as reading & tackling other things. But it's been a great day. #TTRPG #writing #WriteSky #dnd5e

Usually I set a minimum of 1000 words & a maximum of 2000 & leave it at that. Today the words just flowed, so I rode the wave.
Tomorrow there will be high jinks & shenanigans in the Hidden Shrine of Tamaochan. Unspeakable horrors and eldritch blasphemy awaits (cue evil laughter & music). #TTRPG #dnd5e #HiddenShrine
I have just added another 1000 words to my current WIP bringing my days total to 5000+ words. Woah. I have literally done in one day what has taken me two days. #WIP #writing #WriteSky
Total rando here, have found over the last few days I've been most productive in the hours of 4am to 7am. Although today I spent the bulk of the day belting out double my maximum word limit. Scratching my head but I'll take it.
Don't know how I managed but I have belted out 4000 words today. That is double my maximum limit for a day. Now I need to see this thing through to a conclusion. #writing #WIP #WriteSky
Has anyone told Trump he's had his tariff power stripped or are his sycophants too frightened to point this out? And this then begs the question are there any tariffs on anyone if his power has been stripped?
Thanks for that, it's greatly appreciated. Good luck with your own work. It's not really the number but whether you reach the end & wrap it all up.

The ACT has expanded the liability of churches, sporting groups and other organisations to make them vicariously liable for acts of child sex abuse perpetrated by people such as clergymen, volunteers and coaches who are in positions akin to employment. #auspol

ACT closes 'legal loophole' making institutions more liable for child sexual abuse
Survivors and lawyers welcome the nation-leading legislation, with legal action against churches, sporting groups and others to be affected.

Isn't it strange, when a priest sexually abuses a child he's not an employee. Yet when the church claimed job seeker that priest was an employee. Something needs to be done about that, either they payback that money because they didn't employ anyone or cop the sex abuse charges.
