The offense is bottom-5 in both creating and finishing chances. Something like that should be impossible. Meanwhile, they're still scoreless on the power play. Not sure what to even say about that.

I think maybe the worst news for the Sabres is that the offseason plan is kinda working, even without Kesselring playing. They're allowing fewer chances, the PK has been perfect so far. Even with Lyon being meh (as expected), they've only allowed 8 non-empty net goals in 3 games. And they're 0-3!

The teams they beat are a combined 3-21 and three of the wins came down to the wire. They're worse than last year at literally everything but special teams. And there is now another contender in the division. It's not like they're about to go 6-11, but it feels like 10-7 and a six seed is coming.

Saw HIM on Friday. Agree with the reviews - flawed, average, underwhelming, etc. But I haven't seen even one person mention that it's actually based on a week Andrew Luck spent with Peyton Manning in spring 2012.
