Extremely weird to have Fa be the only and therefor BEST mobile suit pilot on the Argama. Until Judau inevitably becomes a badass, of course.

Hey, I like this show! It has a funny tone and it's soothing the gut punch that was the end of Zeta.

During all this Judau finds Kamille in the back of Fa's ambulance. They share a Newtype Moment TM. Kamille's current state has me fascinated.

What a start! Judau and his friends look to salvage an escape pod which turns out to contain Yazan! Trusting him and needing a payday, they take him to the Argama to try and nab the Zeta Gundam. Yazan kills an Argama crewmate during this. Judau turns face and wins! All parties scatter in the chaos.

Mobile Suit ZZ Gundam begins! And weirdly it has a recap episode and even a charming introduction to our new protagonist, Judau. He's a junker like Rex Xenoblade 2! If he's half as likable I'll be well pleased. I like Amuro and Kamille is ok but they're both.. difficult.

Likes: animation and battle quality was really good. Music was fantastic. Dramatic, fast pace made this an easy watch. Many interesting characters.

Dislikes: Multiple romantic connections muddy motivations. Reccoa's deal. Newtypes feel like Jedi. Glad I watched! Prefer Mobile Suit Gundam

This is the opposite of MGS's hopeful and joyful finale to say the least. It hurts and it's cynical and it's nasty but it's not unreal. It feels like maybe this is where it was all leading. The stakes were so high. The power levels were getting crazy. People were gonna die.

At the end of it all most of the souls of the dead good guys assist Kamille in finally defeating Scirocco. But not before Scirocco uses Newtype powers to mind wipe Kamille! We are left with a horrified Fa screaming down at Kamille in a childlike, amnesiac state. Roll credits! Jesus christ!

That last one really hurt! I really liked Emma. She has a cool design, she's practical and she was Reccoa's direct answer. She was great! Very sad to see her go. Yazan is blown away but may be alive. And finally Char is seemingly killed in a fight with Haman! We know Char's Counter Attack exists tho

Rosammy died as her mind collapsed under the weight of it's control. Katz(!) is killed challenging Yazan. Henken and his ship are destroyed protecting Emma. Reccoa is killed after an emotional clash with Emma. Emma is killed trying to check on Reccoa and dying to Yazan's finishing blow.

Alright I've had some time to digest it and I'm still not sure how I feel about it but.. good show, I guess. *spoilers from this point on!*. I suppose I'm just surprised at the desolate cynicism of the end. *A lot of the main cast died* in the final three episodes of Zeta Gundam. Most of them!

All this takes place during Operation Maelstrom. AEUG successfully takes control of the Gryps 2 colony laser. Next plan is to board the Axis and halt it's approach towards Granada, AEUG's central base of operations. Great episode!

During the psychic connection we see that Kamille is associating most of the women he's met with his mother. We see now that his mother's shocking death has affected his perception of women, thus explaining his flighty crushes. I should have picked up on that! Emma even says something about it!

Had to go to bed after watching the episode but it was fantastic! In a direct mirror of MSG's A Cosmic Glow we have two combatants entering the Newtype-verse and psychically forced(?) to achieve understanding. Unlike Amuro and Lalah, Kamille and Hamon can't cross the bridge as she rejects it.

After all this combat Haman escapes in a new ship while Scirocco, having assassinated the Titans leader during the chaos, appears poised to lead the Titans with Reccoas (puke!) by his side.

I just want to add that the mech deaths make me a bit uneasy. Quick explosion and a scream and it's over :(

Zeta Gundam is in it's final handful of episodes and it's getting heavy! Haman and Scirocco square off in what I can only describe as the Newtypiest battle yet! Too much in this episode to recap. Katz tragically kills Sarah as she protects Scirocco from his killing blow.

Apolly... is killed by Jerid. I haven't said much about him because his main purpose has been to be the most chummy, practical, and reliable man on the Argama. He had no plots and was certainly destined to be a turning point death for the show. Kamilla, Fa, Reccoa, and others look on :(
