Talk Of The Town | The Pretenders | 1980

One of my earliest musical memories is hearing this song and falling for it instantly. It’s stayed with me ever since, Chrissie’s words and vocals are wonderful but it’s James Honeyman Scott’s guitars that always hit home.

Happy Birthday to my number one #DavidBowie album “Heroes”. It still sounds incredible today and side two still remains my most played side of music on any album ever. I know every nuance like the back of my hand but it still holds my attention every time I hear it. The true Berlin album. #Heroes

DIV’s second album The Contino Sessions was a dark, gothic masterpiece. The album’s tone was set perfectly by the brooding and impressive opener Dirge.
