Well, as much as I’m loath to benefit from another’s illness, I’ve found your writing to be an inspiration, so thank you for sharing it.
@burnlittlelight.bsky.social shook my understanding of reality both with her words and by simply being herself… which led me by a curiously circuitous path first to writing a book, and then to coming out as a trans woman.

All of which, I like to think, makes me at least partly kind of her fault. 😉
Every little creature has the right to get angry.
I mean this as sincerely as words can encompass:

You are entirely welcome. 💕
It's no more than you deserve. ❤️
Going to bed now. More later, if my ADHD-racked brain can circle back to it.
@parthenoid.bsky.social is one of the finest writers I've ever read. Nonfiction, fiction, essays, blog posts, whatever. They're simply one of the best word-stringers currently stringing words, especially if your tastes in words run to the weird, the horrific, and the queer. Go check them out.
The clear-sighted, unfiltered way in which
@oxinabox.bsky.social has shared her experiences of transition, both her own process and her thoughts about it, has been such an inspiration in both my off-the-cuff posts and my longer-form writing about things like my facial feminization surgery.
@goddessblade.bsky.social is a genuinely lovely human being, a formidable Goddess-sister, and an excellent writer of both fiction and nonfiction—by which I mean she once wrote an essay that literally triggered whatever the happy version of an existential crisis is. 🥰
I mean it, Tills. You're the literal best. If we're ever in the same ZIP code, I intend to buy you a drink… and by "drink," I mean "socially acceptable token of my appreciation for everything you've done for me both personally and as a member of the community, possibly to include me crying on you."
@judedoyle.bsky.social showed me, with words and actions, that my own words and actions could have value, merit, and meaning.

Oh, and then there's the whole "he's an amazing writer you should absolutely be reading" thing, which, I mean, whatever.
@taliabhatt.itch.io got me to think about transfemininity, transfeminism, radical feminism, and what it meant for me—as a trans woman—to be A WOMAN, all in ways I might literally never have found otherwise.
I have no idea. I fled the Nazi bar a couple of years ago, and haven't looked back.
@tillybridges.bsky.social has gotten a lot of love today—all of it richly deserved. If she'd only written BEGIN TRANSMISSION, she'd have done the trans community an invaluable service. To our very great blessing, she's done WAAAY more than that, including being a wellspring of trans joy and support.
Girl, I'm a lazy, sad little imp who aspires to be one-tenth as beautiful and brilliant as my sisters... like you, for instance. You are genuinely an inspiration, both artistically and personally, and I respectfully decline to let you diminish that—at least, not without a fight.

And I cheat. 😈
Okay, I lied. @harpomarxism.bsky.social wrote, "Let's start a thread where we shout out a trans person on Bluesky who's inspired you or made a difference in your life," and eliding the extent to which she's inspired me to work to be a brighter star in the firmament of Bluesky would be shameful.

Hey let's try something different today.

Let's start a thread where we shout out a trans person on Bluesky who's inspired you or made a difference in your life.
@thetransfemininereview.com, more than any other transfem on this platform, has pushed me to understand just how important the writing of other transfems has been to my own past, present, and future. Without her, I might've never understood just how beautiful we are—which would've been a tragedy.
My stepmother-in-law, Jean Marie Stine—author, publisher, former editor for Transgender Tapestry Magazine—who has cheerfully embraced me as a stepson-in-law, delighted in me as a stepchild-in-law, and rejoiced in me as both a stepdaughter-in-law and a sister.
Also also:

@dariaphoebe.com was the first woman to model for me, post-my-egg-cracking, an example of what being a real-life woman of transgender experience in This Modern World™ could be like. I haven't modelled my life on hers—how weird would THAT be?—but she's been an inspiration, all the same.
Oh! You should! One of her stories was what convinced me, not only that I *could* do something I could barely even admit to myself I wanted, but that I *owed* it to myself to do it. I did, and it was literally one of the best decisions I've ever made. 🥰

(Not to be coy: it was my orchi.)
And also:

Leaving aside how foundational the writing of @badambulist.bsky.social has been in helping me fully embrace my womanhood AND my transness—both individually and in their overlap—I try to emulate the incredible extent to which she is kind and generous with her time as a writer.
And another:

My bro @not-the-painter.bsky.social is more than just a sensitive and caring dude. He's a brilliant and thoughtful writer, qualities he brings to every interaction. He was one of the first people to see the real me, and his support has been nothing short of essential to my transition.
