I’m a portrait photographer addressing social justice issues. In my current project, I work as both an art educator and photographer with women from marginalized communities.

I’m honored to announce that I’ve received two grants from the @bkartscouncil— through the Brooklyn Arts Fund and Local Arts Support — for my upcoming project Being Seen: Art, Photography, and Writing Workshops for Women from Marginalized Communities.

Last week’s panel discussion about Being Seen was a powerful evening of connection, creativity, and conversation. Hosted by @housingplus_nyc, @fivemyles, @bkartscouncil, the event showcased the transformative impact of photography, writing, and art-making on women from marginalized communities.
Last December, I had the honor of curating this exhibition, which brought together five incredible women photographers exploring community and portraiture with dignity and respect. It was such a meaningful show, and I’m grateful to everyone who came out to support it!
