A year ago today my baby Rowan died (3 yrs old). The hardest. I miss you all the time. You were bright and so curious. Loved cars so much I worried you might grow up to be a boy racer. I love you so much ♥️ ♥️
toddler, Rowan, in a white laundry basket. The child is smiling and looking at the camera. He’s wearing a dark blue top with pink graphics. He’s wearing grey and pink trousers and no shoes or socks on his feet. His head is on some blankets and there’s an orange and yellow car next to him. He would have been blowing raspberries
So why hasn’t this happened already? A Glen Carter spin off. All he wants is a holiday!! He goes on a holiday in search of a safe. Every episode a different safe a different holiday

What, no wild raspberries!!??
I blame it on the publishers as well!!! So wild they’d publish such a thing
Lovely. And what’s over the garden? Would like to know
Once again a studio showing how so out of touch they are

Ireland has lost a mountain of libraries with the passing of Manchán Magan. A brilliant, gentle, inspiring treasure of a spirit.

As a friend said last night, “He described the Irish language as potent and infinite, but that was him too.”

Seol go réidh, mo chara.

I’ve got a reading! Delighted to be included in such a fab line up. If you’re in the neighbourhood please join us for Poetry and a Pint 9 October 7:30-9pm (SK time)
Poetry and a Pint in big text. Below photos of all the readers in circular headshots. The line up is: Saskatchewan’s Poet Laureate, Peace Akintade, Danielle Richardson, Louise Halfe, Taidgh Lynch & Erica V. Lee.

Presented by The Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild and Willow Country Restaurant & Lounge. 9 October Thursday 7:30-9pm 2025

Food and drinks are available for purchase.
This event is free and open to the public (please note there is limited seating; first-come, first-served).
And if you get accepted you get to work closely with the Grain editor to get your writing all set for publication
Also Grain magazine is a Saskatchewan pub that offers editorial feedback on local rejected work. I’m the poetry editor so even if your work doesn’t get accepted I give a few edit suggestions if you’re based in Saskatchewan. It sucks to be rejected but at least you get a few free thoughts from us
Join or start up a writers’ group. That’s one way to get feedback and editorial support. Another idea would be if you have more then a few members I think you can get funding from SWG for your group and then you could hire in a writer to give a craft talk
