“Tabi Po” is what you say when entering wild places, a request to pass through unseen realms with care.

It’s also a poetry altar.
A gathering of spirits, voices, grief, and joy.

Join us every third Sunday. You’ll be welcomed with poems and warmth.

The Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets Chapbook Contest opens September 1st. Any chap published this year by a current Wisconsin resident is eligible. This is my second year as coordinator of the contest. The final judge is my first poetry mentor, John G. Morris.

Poetry as ritual. Ritual as resistance. What do you return to when writing fails you?

Due to time and labor constraints (and that we’re all volunteers), we’ve decided to focus primarily on the Tabi Po Reading Series & Open Mic. We’ve updated our website to reflect this. Check it out! www.tabipopoetry.com
