- timeline more like the official app
- local on-device drafts
- feed interactions (show more or less like this) on supported feeds
- better list handling; pinned lists will display properly as feeds!
- push notifications will filter moderation lists

Check out Blacksky's, or keep an eye on Northsky or Gander Social

-Should I host my own PDS-
If you know what you are doing? Sure

Just know you probably want to deviate from their install script long term

Self-hosting PDS was a pretty decent success

Took it down for now to tinker but I feel safe hosting my own accounts and maybe some friends with it

For the general public I still *highly* recommend using Blacksky's PDS

Their infrastructure is *loads* better

did you set up the SMTP env vars for your PDS? the PDS handles emails

though, if you are talking about 2fa via email, the self-hosted PDS doesn't support that (though there is an addon someone made: tangled.org/@baileytowns...)

I make this account on self-hosted PDS

Login to Bluesky and start using it, seems fine

It wants me to verify my email

But I never get an email on for THIS account to verify

Does Bluesky only send verification emails for its own PDS?

This is my first time running a Bsky PDS instance so. You never know lol

Now just time to see if any of the smaller issues fixed themselves by allowing the network time to propagate me more across ATProto searches?

Something I want to remind y’all about alt text for images:

You don’t have to do it perfectly. You just have to try.

It makes your skeets more accessible to people who want to participate but who also need extra support to do so.

People are also more likely to rs if you use alt text.
