It’s a very small thing compared to everything else, but there are federal employees who have stayed through 2 rounds of DRP, 5 bullets justifying our jobs, return to work, and now we’re furloughed. The talk of not paying us now is beyond scary. I’m so tired.

Penny and I did a 3-mile run through the woods. She found lots of things to smell and we met a couple of wonderful dogs.

I think it's the stairs. She's never even tried to go down them. If a chipmunk chase won't get her down there, nothing will. It's a fully furnished living area; it's not like it's some dark scary place. 🤷‍♀️

Update: It came back upstairs and between the two of them they got it. Penny took it outside and it escaped. It did lose part of its tail, though. 🤢

There’s a chipmunk loose downstairs. Ollie brought it in and it got downstairs before Penny could snag it. Penny has never, and will never, go to the basement level of the house. Anyway, I can’t find it.

He’s perched sitting up on the corner of a kitchen island (where he is absolutely not supposed to be) looking smugly into the camera. This is the asshole who brings me live chipmunks on a regular basis. It’s a game. He has no interest in killing them. He likes to chase them INSIDE the house, but rarely can catch them. I don’t know how the hell he catches so many outside.
