I love the holidays. Spouse just walked through the room singing a traditional folk song about Tyler Glasnow.
The two of them and their lovingly buttered matzo is the only thing that got me through the pandemic. The best people ❤️

Zohran Mamdani caught lying that he understood Plato’s allegory of the cave, yet when asked to explain it, he seemed to instead explain Baudrillard’s theory of Simulacra and Simulation where reality has been replaced by symbols and signs, which seems similar to Plato’s theory but is not the same
Oasis were hooligans, and so were their fans. It was a “feud” in the same way bullies “feud” with their victims. Hard pass now and forever.
Almonds also require horrible pesticides that cause nerve damage for workers. Enjoy the sustainable indigenous alternative: sunflower seeds.
Been all around the country this fall, from Snowmass to Mt. Washington, but the best of all is to be on the Huron River with my boo.
“Run across the street and get your Aunt Linda some Luckys. Buy yourself a Tootsie Roll.”
You have likely already learned this but in case not: garlic / onion infused oils have lots of flavor, no FODMAP! The Foddy brand dressings and salsas are also pretty good.
Whole bunch of people out there whose entire motivation and energy source comes from panic and dread. It’s a helpful distraction from asking if the thing is moral, ethical, and worth doing.

@crockett.house.gov It's because the BUNKER is below the East Wing. He's enlarging and modernizing/weaponizing it for the regime to hide from us because they never plan to leave. That's why the ballroom is elevated. We MUST remove them before construction is completed.
It felt like the author had done a search and replace on the document to add tags. Took me way out.
I listened to a popular YA mystery audiobook last week and almost quit it. Any sentence with a question mark was followed by, “he asked,” even if it was not really a question, like “what the hell.” The use of “asked“ steered the voice actor to lilt up, made teen boys sound like Millennial women.
Their calls are so dinosaur. I once saw a sandhill crane walking behind a rafter of turkeys like a priestess, no doubt keeping the ancient ways alive in bird culture.
It is not okay to use AI for things you can do yourself or that good people you can hire are doing themselves. LLMs flatten our expression of life, ruin us for reading good writing, and burn the planet down while doing so. Why communicate at all If you can’t be bothered to summon your own ideas?
By which I intend no besmirchment of the excellent facilities staff. But people get used to things and think, “I’m sure it’s fine.” Compare the time a ROTC kid’s fake gun and some balloons popping set off an active shooter scare at Angell Hall. Result: balloons banned! So safe now.
That is the very museum to which I refer. Guy in a hard hat could do anything!
Former art museum worker here. If I heard saws coming through the wall I would assume “oh the physical plant guys are trying to fix the soffit over the south gallery. Again.” Meanwhile much security training on how a person in a wheelchair could pull a fire alarm and steal a Rembrandt.
