Given the failures of the US justice system as we increasingly slide into fascism, the Democratic Party should independently consult with the International Criminal Court on matters of human rights abuse perpetrated by Trump and his sycophants.
That’s where my mind goes as well. 😉
Take a drive with me through #tropical tree tunnels. This is the scenic drive on the way to the #HawaiiTropicalBioreserveAndGarden, just north of #Hilo. #BigIsland #Hawai’i
We often found ourselves sharing the water with solo #OutriggerCanoes. It’s all part of my #SerendipitousPath.
We ventured into
#HiloBay, past the breakwater, and into the long #Pacific swell. Conditions were so good that we contemplated continuing along the #HāmākuaCoast to #HawiHawai’i. While we had enough water and snack, we lacked a radio and nav lights, so we contented ourselves with the local sunset.
A quick look around #HiloInnerHarbor revealed three #MarieholmInternationalFolkboats, diminutive, but capable, and among my most favorite boats. I introduced myself to a gentleman aboard one of them, and he asked if I’d like to join him for a #sail. Well, of course.
My wandering journey led me to #HiloInnerHarbor where I hoped to discover whether #SuisanFishMarket still lit its neon sign, offering potential as a subject for #photography. Alas, no, though I may try another visit at dawn with an open mind.
I’ve no green thumb, but I appreciate the green thumbs of others. #LiliʻuokalaniGardens #Hilo #BigIsland #Hawaii
I visited the property today, driving through the open gate to discover guys busy at work clearing dead Ohia trees to prevent them from falling on the house. The owner wasn’t there, so I departed after a quick look around. As I drove away, I looked at those little sprouted nuts, now towering palms.
Several years ago, we needed a break from construction, so we decided to drive the #RedRoad in search of sprouted #coconuts in need of a more hospitable home. We loaded the truck bed with nuts, and proceeded to “plant” them in several areas of the property, including the edges of the driveway.
#PerspectiveShifting on #BigIsland. I’m already on the #windward side, but this scene from the #Beach At #OldKonaAirport is too nice not to post. So far, the ceiling fan failure in my minimalist #AirBnB is the closest thing to steppin’ on a pop-top.
Thank you. This is my second wind. As they say, “Youth is wasted on the youth.” My (ex)wife and I opted to sell our boat in our early thirties after a ten-year run, to finance a big catamaran build. Life occurred. We zigged rather than zagged. Now I’m outfitting. I hope you remain happy and well.
BTW, this is one of the art pieces in one of the marina bathrooms. The medium is dry-erase marker and the canvas is whiteboard - also applicable to politics. 🤣
Oh, I’m hangin’ in there just fine. My lifestyle has always been an affirmative choice. I’ve enjoyed living and cruising aboard a number of my boats through the years, and I’m looking forward to chasing the horizon again soon. 😊
