Genuinely think Scottie has been good this season but his main role as leader of the defense has been a failure

He is constantly making bad gambles, lazy plays, and then getting caught complaining instead of guarding

The most impressive thing about the Raptors last night was how aggressive the starters played without hogging the ball

RJ and Quickley played loose and free but understood that if they drew a second defender, it was time to pass or reset

Too much baseline talent to force shots

If the Ulrich Chomche Raptors arc really is done due to injury that's some bad luck for the Raptors to spend resources on now both him and Koloko, for them to show promise, and then have the majority of their time to show proof be wasted to injury

That said I think if Jak gets the back stuff sorted and comes back fully healthy to start the season, given how aggressive BI and Quick have been hunting shots it's gunna be a lot of good offense out of those actions

Seeing much more Scottie negativity this year across the board

I've been lower than the fanbase on him for a while but mostly because I didn't love his approach as much, not because I didn't see the talent

I wonder what flipped so fast for fans to be done with him like this

Seeing so many people down on Scottie and yes have I been frustrated with his approach in game for a few years? sure I have, but he still is clearly a super talent when in the right role

Post and Elbows instead of perimeter to start his attacks would be huge for him

If Quickley is fully bought in to hunting his 3 ball instead of being a facilitating point guard this year Raptors are going to be in a good spot

Him, Ingram and RJ are clear fits with each other

Will be interested in seeing how Scottie chooses to play around them

Bam role would be great for him
