In France this has been in the news because there were several serious accidents (including on the autoroute). All kinds of cars were concerned, mainly Citroën. New models detect obstacles where there are none.

A large ice sculpture of the word “Democracy” was placed on the National Mall on Wednesday morning in direct view of the U.S. Capitol as a vanishing reminder of rapidly eroding rights and an existential threat to the freedom on which America was founded.

"The White House was told by ABC that his show was cancelled!"

So, about all those claims by Brendan Carr that he wasn't threatening ABC to get rid of Jimmy Kimmel...
We went to Marseillan (their production site) several times. We really like the green (original) one and the orange one. Red isn't that great.
We just drink it on the rocks. Boring, I know.

We had to get to the Strasbourg train station a month ago. Because of ascension there wasn't evem any train (nor bus etc) early in the morning. We had to ask a friend to take us in his car.
I always find this calculation a bit simplistic. I need a car to go to work (impossible to go by public transport or any other means) so I wouldn't take the purchase of a car into account. If I include insurance and maintenance, the car is still cheaper than the train.
Here in Grand Est it costs 9,80 € to take the TER from the sous-préfecture to Strasbourg one way, no discount for aller-retour. To drive the less than 25 kms AND pay parking, costs much less, especially if you're not going alone. Extremely stupid price policy.
Well, that's the French way. Complain about all changes/new things, no matter what.
And then complain again when those new things are taken away/changed.
Really a fairytale that is beyond ridiculous. 🤣

Two days before the 2016 Brexit referendum, Daniel Hannan wrote about what life would be like in Britain on 24 June 2025. (The least accurate thing ever written about Brexit.)

A week ago, he wrote in the Telegraph that Britain is turning into a third world country.

He got paid for both articles.

A really extremely stupid article. The opinions expressed by this woman are old clichés and don't reflect real life in Germany.

She left Germany for the United States in the late seventies, and built a wonderful life in California, but nearly four decades later, Camilla Delsid decided to return to her home country. However, she’s far from happy about it.

Dude I feel your pain... They just let them dance all around the White House... We've been trying to get rid of you for years!
Well, in at least 60% of the restaurants/bars the restrooms are unisex in France.
Never thought that this guy would end up as German chancellor one day. 😁
Actually both! Two floppy and and one smaller (hard) disk. With very important documents of course. 🤣
I see people here mentioning scart cables. That's nothing: I have two floppy disks in my cable, aka "electronics box". 😃
I remember a teacher who used to eat "Rosinenbrot" with salami. So weird.

America is the husband beating the wife shouting “look at what you made me do”
It doesn't define what these numbers are based on, but that Germany is behind France, Spain and Scandinavia doesn't surprise me.
The EU scores just 71/100 in the 2024 Gender Equality Index — with some countries falling behind.

The gender gap is real & progress is fragile.

Closing it demands more than words: we need political will, clear priorities, & evidence-based action to achieve a #UnionOfEquality 🇪🇺
Which wasn't exactly a bestseller.
