One of my two favourite items in @bodleian.ox.ac.uk Treasured exhibition. This beautifully decorated gospel book belonged to St Margaret of Scotland, Queen of Malcolm III & great-niece of Edward the Confessor. Late 11thC. Purchased by the library in 1887 for just £6 #stmargaret #treasured #queen
