"You Don’t Argue With Extremists. You Organize Against Them"

A fascinating piece from a researcher on why debates don't always work as a method of effecting change. As a debater, I don't agree with all of it, but Zeteo is all about encouraging... debate:
You Don’t Argue With Extremists. You Organize Against Them
Studies shows debate is not the tool for political change that many believe, author and researcher Sarah Stein Lubrano argues.

Gallego: "It's murder. It's very simple. If this president feels they are doing something illegally, then he should be using the Coast Guard. If this is an act of war, then you use our military and then you come and talk to us first. But this is murder ... it's disgusting."

Thank you, New York City.

Now let’s win.
They work harder and dirtier fighting him than at republicans and Taco.
Corporate-backed Democrats were told not to collaborate with his progressive ideas. That’s how he lost the Democratic presidential nominations in 2016 and 2020 — corporations united he never reached the presidency. Yet, despite all their efforts, he still speaks out and keeps pushing for change.
I wish I’d been on that flight so I could ask him countless questions about politics, his life experiences, and what drives him to keep going at his age when most people have already settled into their wealth.
Those who didn’t vote at all, would they be considered racist? Since a person who voted for Trump in 2016, would they be considered racist?
Standing up for others’ rights and getting arrested in a time when open racism was the norm doesn’t seem to earn much praise. These days, it seems being a taco billionaire gets you further than being a principled millionaire.

This video from Portland is a metaphor for what is going on in America. ICE trying so hard to get Americans to cross a line and if they don't, dragging them across the line and violently attacking.

Proof that the U.S. government social media accounts are in fact white nationalist propaganda accounts, funded by our tax dollars.

You’ve got to see this…
His state ranks at the top in the nation, and people keep reelecting him. He must be doing something right. But don’t worry about his state—you’re probably getting just enough in yours to live off cereal… I mean bread. Cereal’s too expensive for you, after all.
Bernie thinks to learn, you don’t think so you don’t learn. Which means in your own eyes, you are worse than Bernie.
He’s rich—what do wealthy parents do for their children? Exactly what you can’t do because you’re poor. So, who should you vote for? The billionaire Taco who supports other billionaires. You stay being poor and vote for those who don’t care about your way of spending your money.!
It got Trump elected so let’s see if this way works out for us.
Black voters helped elect Biden when many wanted Bernie, and in turn, voted for Trump. This path was shaped by Black voters So if you’re going to critique Bernie, you’d do well to start with the Black voters who continue to vote in low numbers and back candidates that does NOT care for their rights.
Renting an apartment has gotten so absurdly expensive that “rent” is now slang for anything of value. So what slang could I use for my ‘tiny’ account, since everything costs an arm and a leg? Ah, I’ve got it—your low IQ! Yep, you comparing my account to your IQ. Very low.
Being arrested during a time when open racism was widely accepted in society was a real risk! Protesting and being arrested always comes with serious risks. Come down to the south and try to protest, let’s see which prison you will be treated to.
If Bernie is a loser, then who is the winner. Check your notes on who is winning and let me know.
The arrest of a single white man didn’t bring about civil rights laws. The arrest of a single Black man didn’t either. But together, in strength and unity, the civil rights movement grew—and it brought real change. The glory is not given when arrested but at the end, when goal has been achieved
Did you listen to his ‘speaking’ tour or complaining like a newborn just to be heard and seen?!
No Democrat can tolerate him because their corporate sponsors told them not to tolerate Sanders. And you’re bringing up Clinton?! He hasn’t held office in over two decades, has potential ties to the Epstein files, and pushed deregulation laws that benefited his corporate sponsors.
Did you actually ask ChatGPT if Bernie got arrested, or are you just taking the word of someone who didn’t personally see him among a crowd of people who were arrested? Or maybe no one was arrested at that protest at all. I think I heard it somewhere years ago, someone told me.
