tbh the interest in linguistics led to an interest in phonetics and a broader buncha stuff that led me to the voice teaching thing … it all kinda fits together

colours and the logic through which they're categorized have so much instrumental history, these days we tend to think about swatches and RGB indexes bc they make sense for concepts of art and graphic design but the etymologies are things like "healthy vegetation" and "a vast expanse"

it's also cool how "green" relates directly to a whole morphological index of words to do with vegetation e.g. graze, grow & grass

personally i think that “ppl can have had past flirtations with rightward tendencies and grown up to be more mature, enlightened ppl, which is Good” and ”fascists shouldn’t be coddled on account of the off-chance that it could be a phase” are both true and compatible statements
