Care workers will be in the house for our solidarity unionism training in a couple weeks.

We go deep into the history, fundamentals, practices, advantages, and challenges of worker led-and-operated unionism. 🏴🚩🧡
In care industries and others, employers are genius in guilting workers not to "hurt" the clients by organizing or taking action.

The real danger to folks benefitting from services is the unchecked power of the boss in a non-union workplace.

Organize today for yourself and for those you support.

Union is to live well but also to live free. That's how we see it anyways.
Amen.

Stay hydrated.

No union-management deals that take workers out of the fight for control.
Unions will play a critical role, "in resisting the devaluing of human labor, the depression of wages, and the consolidation of money away from workers in the hands of the AI companies."

The Connecticut Tenants Union is a perfect example. On The Dig, Daniel Denvir interviews their president, Hannah Srajer, about the power they've built.

We love policies that benefit the working class.

@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social, let's also advocate for and support Tenants Unions. Power should belong to the people, and affordable housing shouldn't depend on who's in office. Will you join us in supporting them?

"Mamdani's proposals, such as freezing the rent for some New York tenants, free buses and free child care, are not only feasible but also build off the foundations of previous New York City laws, political analysts told ABC News."
Zohran Mamdani's proposals for NYC build off city's progressive foundation: Experts
While some critics decry Zohran Mamdani's vision for New York City as far-fetched, experts noted that they build off progressive foundations laid by past policies.

We need to ask why the United States doesn't have a labor movement that engages in national strikes when immigrants, public sector employees, and all working people are under existential threat...

And then make a change
To us, a union is simply a sustainable coworker organization through which we meet our needs. By taking on employers and industries; facilitating a beautiful coworker community; and advancing a vision for society.
SUN builds unions because we believe the labor union is a uniquely powerful form for making work better.

But our definition of a union doesn't depend on whether there is NLRB certification or not.
Boss skimming your tips? Wages not adding up right? Sounds like you need a union!

Solidarity Union Network is here to support you in your union building process. We have the methods, the blueprints, and the community to help point the way.

Salute to the working class Peruvians who have ousted their anti-worker and corrupt president.

Let's spread that energy around.

For labor movements everywhere, deeply integrated with indigenous and broad social struggles.
It’s an oldie but goodie: “Labor is entitled to all it creates”
There’s no need to redistribute wealth if workers get their share!
Mainstream economics argues that the tax system is the best tool for reducing economic inequality.

In fact, “predistributive” measures like minimum wages and collective bargaining can be equally or more effective.

As boats from the Global Sumud Flotilla prepared to set sail toward Gaza, a representative of Genoa’s Dockworkers’ Union declared that if anything happened to the flotilla, workers would “block everything.” When the flotilla was attacked, the reaction was swift: a 24-hour general strike was called.

Ricardo Flores Magon and his comrades help constitute the lineage that solidarity unionism advances. Regeneración was both their newspaper and a fulcrum for union and revolutionary organizing.
It's day 3 of the indigenous-led national strike in Ecuador. The youth wing of the class struggle union federation has issued a call for international solidarity in the light of arbitrary arrests, torture, and chemical weapons being deployed by the neoliberal government, national police and army.
