In all honesty, I'd be fine with Mills flipping that seat. Disappointed we couldn't do better, but sure she'll do the trick and move the needle. I guess we'll just have to wait until this generation all dies before we can get someone new elected.

I think the issue here is that you're more concerned with winning the seat, and I'm more interested in what's done once we win that seat. Young voters aren't turning out because they're disenfranchised by their futures being decided but a bunch of octogenarians.

There are some who truly believe that because he worked security for Pritzker at some point in the past, and because he had No Kings flyers, that that's more convincing he is a leftwing operative, than the kill list of Dems he had on him.

Trans rights, socialism, and especially Gaza, are the major division points in the Democratic party right now. I think it's important that Dems take back the house in the midterm, but I'm also very interested in how much we can move the needle on those topics within the party as well.
