Great question! Like Hades, Malys is what's known as a roguelite. When you die, you do restart your run - but crucially - you'll also progress the story AND unlock cards, artifacts, and gain new permanent upgrades.

Some accessibility modes may also upgrade over time if you have them enabled 👀

Hello exorcists! Welcome to 0.5 of Malys! This update is has an assortment of new content, some cleanup, many bugfixes and some prep for v1. The focus has been on trying to solve as many issues as possible before we head into v1, as well as working on all of the content for launch - so while the new content side is limited, rest assured we have been at work and you'll see it in the final game.

We've incorporated some more accessibility features into Malys, our unholy deckbuilder 🕯️

We've recently implemented large text options for storylets, tooltips, and card text - with future plans to add optional subtitles to cinematics in both regular and large sizes.
