Just an interesting word choice. 🤷‍♀️
I find it interesting Holland feels "slightly burderened [sic] by the responsibility of handling [Wilde's] legacy" but also wrote a book about his legacy that's coming out in 2026. So, burdened by it, but will profit from it. Well, at least it's a great PR stunt for the book and the British Library!

Let me have all the gossip of Jane's wedding.
And changes in borders over time obviously create different places of which our ancestors called "home."
in time. And we can reference that when learning/talking about our ancestors.

Sorry, I'm terrible at articulating this, and I probably sound like an idiot.
I understand they're a construct, but I feel, as labels, they're helpful w/ understanding cultures, places and events over time. Meaning there is no single heritage or homeland to claim but that a mixture of places, peoples, traditions, etc. can make a heritage or homeland at a point or range
P.S. Those roses are beautiful.
Happy, happy birthday, Heather! Wishing you a magical day. 🎉
It looks sooo nice.

Oh, man. Personally, I don't think I have the bandwidth right now to put together applications for DAR/Mayflower Society memberships (any memberships, really). So, kudos to you for doing so. I'd love to know how it goes!
THIS IS GIVING ME ANXIETY, KATHERINE. LOL.
I meant question the other historical references.
Bluesky needs more travel & tourism publication & industry organization accounts. The big travel magazines/websites are notably absent. More DMOs need to be over here promoting their locations. More travel & tourism analysis pubs (Hi, @skift.com!), too.

There's a huge hole & at a critical time.
Oof. I'd probably finish reading it but would question everything else in the book going forward.
I know a lot of folks have moved to using newsletters and even replacing their websites with the newsletter's platform/site. But, there are still a lot of people that have websites with feeds, so those are the folks I'm appealing to.

Also, my inbox weeps daily under the heavy load.
I'm creating a genealogy feed in my newest RSS feed app, and unfortunately, many of the blogs/publications I imported from another app no longer exist. ☹️

So, if you have a genealogy or history blog or are an org/society publication with a RSS feed, please drop a link below!

Happy to reskeet, too.!
