Yes he stopped right after that picture. I’ve only ever heard 1 Yorkie howl before and it was a facebook reel. I’m still giggling.
Oh, he definitely got his treats. LOL!!
That really sucks. I get the same way if I run out of my Gabapentin.
I’m laughing so hard!! This dog has NEVER howled in his 9 years. Tonight since I was ignoring his begging for treats he upped the ante. Not sure who was more surprised, me or him. ROFLMAO!!! No video but got a pic just before he quit.
If a non-diabetic takes insulin it can literally kill him/her. The fact that you’re still alive and taking insulin points to you being diabetic.
Happy Birthday to my best friend and companion, Takoda. He’s 9 years old today. ❤️🐶🎂
Some days it’s a bloody crapshoot. Totally annoying and frustrating. My Dexcom crapped out Monday (chucked it across the room in frustration) and my sugars skyrocketed to 19 after dinner. I’m usually 80-86% in range but … meh!
Same for me. Unfortunately soda doesn’t seem to count as “fluids” says my specialist. Only “water” apparently. I find that the more water I drink the better controlled my blood sugars are. Weird.
Hopefully the soda was the “diet” version without sugar and zero carbs. I drank the regular one once and my sugars skyrocketed! Never make that mistake again.
Sienna is one of my favourite places from my travels. So many memories. ❤️
We get charged extra here also. A $5 “shopping” fee and a $5 delivery fee. Bloody highway robbery.
Story of a diabetic life. I keep 3 boxes of each insulin (so 6 total) in the door of my fridge. Bloody nuisance.
If you “jab” after the meal then blood sugars are already rising and it takes longer and more insulin to do the job. Try taking it 10 minutes before your meal. Then if DEX shows high 1 hour after meal take a small correction dose. That’s what they tell us here and it works.
We need more water in out system to help with keeping blood sugars down. I was skeptical but it works. I try to drink between 2.5 and 3 litres a day. Also, it helps Dexcom to read more accurately.
Wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving from Takoda ❤️
You should be contacting Dexcom directly for free replacements sent directly to you. Or they also can send a voucher you take to your pharmacy for free replacements. That’s what I do. Might be different in the UK.
I stopped using the one they come with as it’s too flimsy to use easily. Here’s a couple of really great options available on “ExpressionMed” and “Amazon”.
Sorry to hear that. There are some really good “over patches” on line that cover more area than the piddly one it comes with that might work well at keeping it on for you.
Is it the G6 or the G7? I had lots of problems with the G6 but find the G7’s smaller size and flatter profile make it less prone to problems in bed. I put mine on the upper bicep close to the front of the arm so I don’t roll on it. Before that they got knocked off too much.
If you get it wet within the first 12 hours after putting it on then it usually falls off. It has to stay dry and uses your body heat in the first 12 hours to allow the adhesive to create a strong bond to your skin.
Chemo is absolutely horrible. I remember wanting to just give up too but it’s worth pushing through. Sending hugs and prayers for you.
Trying to even up Takoda’s hair. LOL!! Before and after pics. Need a couple more sessions with the scissors to tidy him up. Not sure whether to do his legs of leave them fluffy.
Happy, sleepy Takoda earlier. Just waiting to go to bed. Nighty night. ❤️
