Any pics of the Canada - loads of ferals of various shades feeding in the Pinks in that area at the minute. Ta
Will do Dave, but not there until at least Friday. I’ll message you if I find it. Cheers
Very nice Dave - presumably the HOM/Warton Bank bird
Sh!t view as you can see…..
Glossy Ibis just flown through #HOMbirds - site tick for me. On a roll…. #UKbirding
Great to find this American Golden Plover at #HOMbirds this morning - think I’ve now found half the total Lancs records it’s, crazy! Flew off north after being flushed by Kestrel. #Lansbirding # UKbitding
The juv Monties showed really nicely in great light this morning at #Marshside #UKbirding - what a cracker
Got any more shots of it Colin?
Spent an hour with a fantastic group of at least 15 Med Gulls at Howick Cross this morning. The largest group in #Lancsbirding away from the main breeding site I’ve seen. Mainly adults but also some 1st and 2nd summers plus at least 1 ringed bird - absolutely brilliant #UKbirding
Smart Channel Wagtail in the fields at #HOMbirds #UKbirding
Also 4 Barwit in a nice flock of Blackwit and a late Whooper plus usuals
Nice to find this Pec Sand at #HOMbirds this morning on the east side, 1st pool
An interesting small/medium dark winged, dark rumped wader briefly in flight at #HOMbirds this morning moving from east to west side, but I can’t find it in a search of the west pools - very frustrating!
Very jealous of my neighbours 2 spikes of Bee Orchid - my grass is just too shaded unfortunately #UKorchids
Some really enjoyable seawatching at Starr Gate #Fyldebirding this morning with great company. 7 Fulmar the highlights, which is a good count here, plus good numbers of Manx, Kittiwake and Gannet constantly flying through #UKbirding - some “atmospheric” record shots
And the Great Tits have fledged from the garden #LongtonBirds
Another Lesser Whitethroat rattling away in the back field this afternoon as I sat in the garden. At least 6 local #Longtonbitds records this year, one at Banks Marsh, and one on each of the golf courses at #Marshside mark another decent year for the species on my various local sites
