I realized this is the first time you get to see Jian’s dad/Julong’s son…one of his sons 💀. This is a drawing based on that viral video where the daughter shows her mother the drawing of her. The mother does her best not to laugh while complimenting the drawing and encouraging her child as the dad laughs in the background. This image happens before Julong dies laughing. Credit goes to my friend for bringing up this idea :’^D (Btw, this is a bit of a modern take here considering Julong is wearing his current outfit)

Jian’s dad has his hand on Jian’s shoulder as he shakes (trying not to laugh) in an effort to comfort him. After seeing Jian’s drawing, his dad tells him, “Oh, Jian. I love it. I really do.” In response, Jian asks, “Then why is grandpa laughing?”

Jian’s dad is turning towards his father (Julong) who is laughing in the background with a bit of an upset look, all while trying not to laugh too. He’s answering Jian’s question from the previous drawing, “Because he doesn’t know any better.”

On his left shoulder is a little "Happy birthday" message with his actual birthdate (5/15). On his left wrist as well, he's wearing a friendship bracelet his grandson made that's blue with darker blue vertical stripes. Speaking of his grandson (Jian!), he's in the background to the left looking extremely disappointed (he's referencing Shinji from NGE when he's holding his mug in disappointment). He's wearing a matching red bracelet but he's purposely blending in with the blue background. And...he's also holding a cup of boba milk tea!

POV Lawrence (he/they) is looking at you through the peephole of your door. Inspired by DECO*27's song "Monitoring."
Part of his bangs cover his other eye, leaving the one visible as he stares with a smile, and his blue diamond earring has a little sparkle on it. The thing I really like about this version with the overlay layer is how the highlight in his eye sticks out. Also, this is not catch up art :^) I did this in between the Aeneas drawing and finished it first because it had to be real. I had to answer that Lawrence call

In the middle next to Lawrence is another drawing of him but features enough to show off the T-shirt without the sweater, showing a drawing of Rei from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Finally to the top right is a redraw of specifically Patrick on a seahorse while “Fly Me to the Moon” plays but it’s Lawrence in his usual lab coat riding a pony ride. Below that is Lawrence (from the collar up) sleeping with three Z’s to emphasize it (Each Z is “Zenless, Zone, Zero,” from bottom to top). Then there’s a Rabbit and Steel reference with Lawrence backing up as Sniper Rabbit and Yuko flying forward as Assassin Rabbit.

For Scott’s birthday that was on the 5th of May!

I wanted to force myself to draw backgrounds again and practice more with this being inspired by malls. This drawing has Scott (far right) in his purple button up shirt with a few light purple stripes and those high waisted pants (50s inspired outfit). He’s winking at the viewer as he holds up the wallet (that he stole btw :^)) and sticks his tongue out.

Left of him a bit to the distance is Sherman carrying shopping bags and a capybara plus of his grandfather, Scott. It has his iconic eyebrows and glasses, plus a little orange on its head. He’s giving Scott a worried look with an open mouth.

Then left of Sherman is a set of couches facing each other. The couch facing towards the viewer has Stephen (far left) leaning back looking like he’s yawning. Then right of him is Lawrence leaning over to look at the viewer with a peace sign.

In the space between Sherman and Scott towards the back is Jian (left) and Julong (right). Julong is looking back at us as Jian looks like he’s shouting and walking towards the viewer.
