Was given an opportunity to “touch grass” this morning. Ended up going on a 3 mile hike through a wonderful ecological border region. The world really is a magical place.

the world is so much bigger than the limited scope of politics or religion. I am always grateful for those that showed me this fact when I was younger. The likes of Jane Goodall, Steve Irwin, David Attenborough, Jeff Corwin, and all the Mutual of Omaha conservationists. We need ppl like them today.

I should amend that "apparently" is said a little tongue in cheek as this has been the hypotheses for many years amongst environmental scientists and biologists, but the research I have been reading is starting to support these hypotheses with observable facts which is a little eye opening.

I love my degree sometimes, and sometimes it is scary AF. Been reading research on chronic wasting disease and parasites affecting animal populations in North America. Apparently climate change, habitat destruction, and anthropogenic interactions w/ fauna could lead to mass disease and pop declines.

at my wife's woo woo healing studio they have a book/item exchange. She brought home an Egyptian themed tarot deck and I have had so much fun reading the guidebook. It took me back to primary school when I was obsessed with egyptology and the myths associated with it.

Philip Carr-Gomm is usually pretty good. He does a series called tea with a Druid and talks about different meditation techniques, different ideas around animism, philosophy, etc… doesn’t really do the occult but definitely touches on parallel niches
