😆 It's sadly astonishing to me that some parents would still have their day ruined, but the movie definitely is a little time capsule! I haven't watched it in several years- I know it's a bit dated but does it still hold up, overall?
stinasdemons.com
Oh, absolutely! The days are prompts to help inspire but you can skip days, or do them out of order, or whatever. The goal is just to make stuff, and have fun! :)
stinasdemons.com
Absolutely! I've been curious re: what it was about ever since I saw you post about it but kept forgetting to ask, and when your last post said speculative fiction, I was like, "ohhhhh, cool!" 😆

Because it is totally not the type of movie I am normally into, and parts of the plot & some of the characterizations are kind of problematic and "ew" at times. Overall I think its heart's in the right place, so I'm good w it.

If you don't mind, but that's quite an undertaking, & a lot of paper! I totally understand if you don't want to but I would be thrilled if you DO & send to me! (And thank you for understanding- I don't even have an e-reader anymore because it jacked up my eyes.) I'll DM you my address if it's a go!

Creeping vine plant, Version 2
😈🎨🦇

Still working on today's; will probably finish it tomorrow. But here's the original version of yesterday's, inked.
An ink illustration of a brick wall with creeping vines going up it. Some of the leaves resemble grabbing hands, and there are flowers that are blooming, with teeth

If you have a physical copy/ARC you're willing to part with, I'd be happy to read/review :) (And no worries if not &/or you'd prefer to save them for longer reviews/interviews.)

That's a pretty unsettling one, I can imagine it would've freaked me out if I'd seen it as a kid!

Yes, please do, if you go! Be safe, and good luck avoiding the dangerous thugs- the ones currently invading your home.

They usually make me nauseous but I'd rather be sick to my stomach than in pain (and I have a high pain threshold.) I don't drink and Aleve isn't cutting it so I'm trying them!

Ooh, that's a great one! I saw it in the theater, too, and I'm so glad I did.

I see the doctor on Friday so I'm probably going to get a back x-ray because I'm pretty sure it's all related to issues I've had w my back for 20 years that are finally becoming unmanageable.

It's so good and absolutely horrifying, on several levels. I'm in awe of that movie, and that it was made when it was.

Yes, to all of them. They're my top 3 jumpscares, lol.
stinasdemons.com
Oh, wow! Yeah, that would be terrifying. What a cool dad, though! 😆

Fwiw, I do whichever way it looks & feels correct to ME. Sometimes the words want to be pinned down inside them; sometimes the sentence/thought isn't "right" that way. I feel punctuation works best when it's correctly punctuating/enhancing the Words, not when it's strictly adhered to by rules.

I LOVE this movie and wish Netflix would release it on physical media, which they never will because they're evil

I feel like the correct answer is: any of them

My back and neck are even more jacked up because I thought using a massage gun yesterday might help.

It did NOT.

So now I am taking muscle relaxers. I will not be held responsible for the quality or content of my posts, or any art I make, for the remainder of the day 😆

Movies that genuinely scared me the first time I saw them:

Freaks. Poltergeist. Evil Dead 1 & 2 (the damn Deadites). Exorcist III. The Shining. Paranormal Activity. The Ring. Host. Incantation.

That scene from A Field in England
