In their Maths lesson, children in Little Apples have been ordering numbers to 10, counting backwards in 1s, taking turns and sharing attention.
Maple Class have been using the Chromebooks in Computing, and they have been learning how to log on to their personal area. They have also been using their creative skills to draw and design on ‘PaintzApp’.
Archie chose 'Our Amazing Universe' to share with Oak Class. Archie used his World Book Day token to buy the Lego inspired book. Archie enjoys the book as not only does it teach you how to build with Lego, but it also has lots of interesting facts.
Willow Class have continued working hard learning to speak French, with today’s focus on counting to 10!
Today, Oak Class investigated the importance of hygiene. They investigated the best way to remove germs from their hands.
Redwood Class made Christingles as part of their learning in RE today.
Maple Class have been thinking about religious symbols for Christianity ready to ice their design onto a biscuit next week.
Little Apples loved Bucket Time today - Stage 2 included making sundaes using shaving foam, food colouring and pom poms!
Redwood Class have been learning about organisms and how to classify invertebrates.
In Science, Maple Class have been learning about seasonal changes. The children went on an Autumn hunt, searching for signs of Autumn. They even spotted a squirrel in the trees!
For Olivia's book review she showed Oak Class a book that she loves called Dragon Post by Emma Yarlett. Olivia likes taking the different pieces of post out of the envelopes to read. Her favourite letter was a card from a friend explaining how to look after a dragon.

Maple Class had another fun afternoon at Forest School. The children were busy creating masterpieces with leaves, sticks and conkers. They also made mud balls, pies and art work, then finished off the afternoon with hot chocolate and a biscuit!
Our brilliant boys’ football team played so well in their league match this week. They drew 0-0 but have so much to be proud of!
We are so proud of our fabulous girls’ football team, who are learning the game as they go and showed incredible courage and spirit in their match today. Well done girls!
George shared 'Billionaire Boy' for his book review and he said he likes it because it is funny. George's favourite part was when the main character didn't have any friends in the beginning but by the end of the story he was able to make friends which made George feel happy.
Thank you to Year 6 for your brilliant assembly about Thorpe Woodlands this morning - a great way to celebrate a really special trip. How is it a month since we went already?!
Oak Class have enjoyed learning ‘Mini Muay Thai’ in P.E. They have learned moves including jabs, upper cuts, and crosses. They have also tested their resilience when the exercises have become challenging.
It was lovely to see some of our pupils at the Junior Parkrun at Great Cornard Sports Centre this beautiful Sunday morning. Well done to everyone who took part!
It was a wet and very muddy afternoon at Forest School this week. Maple Class had lots of fun making bows and arrows and aiming at the targets. They also enjoyed getting very muddy and drinking delicious hot chocolate!
