#Amelia does cause all sorts of mass destruction everywhere she goes. Flattened cities, thousands fallen.

Some mages borrow her mana following her around bringing those cities back doesn't mean that didn't happen.

(they just played a live performance of this song on NPR and I realized that yes I still know the whole song somehow)

I stand before a crowd of zoomers and sing every word to "Never There" by Cake, a song I never owned on an album or digitally and haven't heard in probably twenty years. They gasp in hushed terror like it's A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

If you're still on twitter, I don't know what else I could say to get you away from there, but hopefully, if nothing else does, this gets you thinking to delete it once and for all.

yesterday on twitter, some of the biggest far right doxxing users were suspended and then elon musk caught wind, and reinstated them. get everyone you can off twitter. it is firmly a pro-doxxing-if-you’re-far-right platform

Spaceman and Blueprint pair together so just about every second or third hand I was getting a random level up on pairs, which helped because I didn't a blue seal until fairly late (and once I did I immediately set about duplicating it). Nothing too wacky here, just very reliable jokers!

Basically, money gets you out of a lot of problems. Every gold tarot I spent $3 on probably paid back 5 or 6 times that, letting me reroll (never below $25!) to find the more rare cards like Blueprint and Seeing Double. This was a pretty conventional Spam Pairs build for me.

So yeah, since I had such good early economy and didn't buy more than I needed (I had Spaceman until this ante), this is where I ended up. Two scaling jokers, a xmult, a random Good Joker I found late, and Blueprint for versatility. 54 pairs played. 41-card deck with some seals and LOTS of money.

just sold this kinda lame Swashbuckler to buy a Judgment card that gave me another Swashbuckler. that's Balatro, babyyyyyyyyyyy!

Saving money means this is my loadout in ante 3. I've got two scaling jokers, a value generator in Spaceman until I can get blue seals/telescope, and two jokers that are KIND OF helping that I'll sell later. This will probably win if I just play four-card pair hands forever!

Here's an example of how I play early to get that momentum. Foil Mad Joker is basically my whole early game now (and I took that Devil because it's basically free). 1,320 points on a queens/tens two pair means I can save my money all the way through the ante 2 big blind and maybe even beyond.

is one of only two interesting locations in that game.
