That fill in issue of Iron Man was pretty horrible. I remember the other five being pretty good though. That issue of Thor got me reading the Defalco Frenz run. The issues of X-Men and New Mutants were fun at the time too

Vaping is so weird because it has all the negative effects of smoking (you smell bad, you get cancer, you waste money, YOU SMELL BAD) but also you look like a fucking dork sucking on a pacifier.

If someone you love vapes just take a picture of them doing it and send it to them. They look so lame.

I wasn't sure if I liked Sean Chen's art during the first couple of years of this series, but a different inker and colorist makes a world of difference

Plus I like Joe Q's writing on this run

I assume it was editorial mandate, since Kaminski made it obvious in earlier issues of Iron Man he hated things like crossovers. He actually has Cable teleport away on the fifth page

A Silver Centurion/Symbiote Spidey meet up would have been really interesting, especially around the time Peter realized that costume was alive.

Tony would later face Venom in the Modular Armor and it did NOT go well for Eddie

The story and interior art are just okay, but man this cover is awesome

Blacklash is one of those characters that has the Boba Fett effect for me: he looks so cool I want a redemption arc for him

I usually go in for a more traditional superhero house style of art, so I'm surprised at how much I like the art by Adam Austin and Gary Michaels in this issue. They're like a cleaner Gene Colan, which fits well for this Frankenstein inspired story
