A successful sponsored walk for KS1 and we couldn’t resist some fun free time too!
Well done for a great first half term Year 2- I’m glad you liked your end of term film and popcorn treat! 🍿🎬
They’ve filled their marble jar so it’s bring a toy from home afternoon for Reception. I wonder what the next treat will be for filling it again?
Year 1 enjoyed their sponsored walk this morning followed by their class rewards (extra playtime) at Blackwood Park. Thank you to all our parents who have supported this fundraiser. Happy half term everyone.
And we’ve done it! 7 times around the field for Reception’s Sponsored Walk. Well done to all the children for walking so far. It’s a long way when you’ve got little legs!
A fantastic day for our annual sponsored walk around Sutton Park. Well done Key Stage 2 - you survived!
Final sports events of this term finished with the year 3/4 boys football festival over at Streetly. Some super goals scored and lots of determination to win back the ball meant we won 3 and lost 1. Well done everyone.
Look out for the newsletter and school website for next terms events.
Our final assembly with the sisters fr Walsingham
Thank you to those children in Reception who have brought in their Creation Project work. It would be wonderful if we could have some more to support our RE unit of work alongside Building the Kingdom.

I can’t wait to see what the rest of the school have produced.
Also, well done to the girls who came a very respectable 4th place, coming up against some very strong and physical teams. Super effort girls 💛⚽
Congratulations to our year 6 boys who came runners up in the Birmingham Catholic School Sports Finals. We promised to give 100% on the pitch and they certainly did that. Everyone at St Anne's is very proud of you 💛⚽
Thank you to everyone for your generosity and for joining us at our harvest Mass this morning. This is just a small sample of your wonderful support. It will be shared between local people who need our help and St Chad’s Sanctuary.
Reception had a fun afternoon exploring the secret woods. They looked at signs of autumn, collected autumn leaves, spotted berries and fungus, listened for birds, made leaf angels, hid their hands and feet in the leaves and worked together to make natural houses for hedgehogs and squirrels.
We're waiting patiently to see if we are through to the semi-finals of the Birmingham Catholic School Sports 5-a-side competition. Played some fantastic football so far and great to have our parents here to support us. Keep going St Anne's!!
Our Chair of Governors Mr Flower leading Altar Server training today.
Year 5 had lots of fun working on a collage of the Slipper Chapel with the Sisters of Walsingham during Mission Week. Thank you to Sister Catherine and Sister Kate for teaching us about life in the convent and well done for some great questions Year 5!
Our wonderful year 4 girls football team attended The Streetly Academy this evening to participate in the School Games Festival. We joined forces with Lindens to form a second team to give the girls more playing time. Both teams won all their games, only conceding one goal all evening 🏆🏆🏆
During Local Geography week, St Anne’s are exploring how we can ensure that wildlife thrives in our local area. We have set up a secret outdoor camera to try and see some of the creatures that live nearby. We love the posing squirrel! 📷🐿🦊
Year 5 and 6 took a trip to Foley Wood as part of Local Geography Week. Back in school, we are going to map a section of the wood and then consider the impact of humans on our environment.
Well done Year 2, you were so keen to create your eco- projects to help birds and other wildlife thrive in Foley Wood!
As part of local geography week, year 1 have spent their 'Forest school time' in the Foley woods! They have had the best time trying to create some ideas to make the woods a friendlier place for our birds. What is your child designing?
Year 4 have enjoyed spending some time with Sister Catherine and Sister Kate this afternoon
Year 1 were privileged yesterday to visit St Anne's Church and see the replica of the Shroud of Turin. It was a fascinating display of Jesus' last steps and the linen cloth that Our Lord was buried with. Can you see the image of Jesus?
