it's not like a deep veteran POV of an experience isn't valuable but idk if it's Inherently More Valuable. i usually just wanna know whether i'll enjoy the game or not to get my 20 hours out of it so i feel like it only means so much to me to read someone saying theyve found the cracks after 500

half of them were either some shit called Jeff's World of Media where Jeff gives me the run-down on his world of media or they were called EpicFoodZone which was a zone about epic food and neither of those made me miserable and they were fueled by hopes dreams and a donation box

i remember when the website had ads that were just cute little banners in the corner so i didnt mind that i didnt have an adblocker and you didnt have to log in or anything and they didnt ask you to buy their Pro Plan where you burn $20 a month i just got the information and i left

when youre about to scroll then the website dims the screen & give you a popup that's like
1. "turn off your adblocker and make your experience 500x worse do you want us to starve 🥺"
2. "get our cookbook"
3. "purchase a subscription to our thing"
4. "log into our thing"

I think it'd be cool and nice ofc but it feels like it's always touted as the "big break" because everyone still wants to eat a beef steak but so much of it is hypothetical anyway. like okay it Might Eventually Happen. but it hasn't yet, so what now

I was much the same way but somewhere along the way i developed a complex and lost that ability almost entirely... it's a skill i have to work to reacquire now..
