YEAH! I find it awesome how it's not trying to be SH2, like so many SH titles tried to do after 4, and yet...it still gives me that slow-burn, gradual realization that SH2 also gave me, and I find it STUPID impressive that they were able to make something with such a similar, creeping dread.

Something that makes a silent hill game to me, I think, is taking something that's actually fucked up in real life and twisting it into something supernaturally horrific, capturing how that fucked up thing makes you feel and presenting in an abstract context.

And f does that SO WELL!!!

In the end, I did get used to the combat. It's not *good* by any means, but it is serviceable, much like the combat in the original silent hill games. But holy FUCK, dude. What a story.

I watched the One Piece live-action show over the past few days, not knowing hardly anything about One Piece, and I honestly think that added to it for me. It's a very fun show with a lot of heart, and the energy of Luffy's actor is infectious.
