VG+ because, well. It's a VERY good copy! Has some hairlines!
Dunking, full immersion is the proper way, I mean if your gonna do it, don't hold back. 🍋💚
Me too. Picked up a couple new Miles Davis Lps for 23 a piece on sale, can't afford originals. 😬

I'm surprised it's not talked about more, it's been 5 years now and they are making more than ever. Really the elephant in the room kind of thing with vinyl production. Been pondering it all day.
Questions are good! My biggest question is why an increase in production when they forecast a 'vinyl apocalypse' due to scarcity of lacquer. Japan increased but it was mentioned GZ Media kept going w/ DMM.

See this 42 page forum at Hoffman, explains a lot: 😃

Genius idea of the record industry... early planned obsolescence! 😁
I just posted a link to wikipedia about it. Some googling will bring even more info, but it's a big thing to know about the recording industry. Have fun, it's a rabbit hole! 😃
Oh yeah, all the albums next to it are almost as incredible. Biased because this is the one grew up with. 😃

A good question, my parents purchased this back then, and it obviously came with it, but I don't remember it in the collection. I was maybe 6 or so at the time, so maybe it was one of my first records on that Fisher price job I had! 😬😃 That's my answer, sticking to it lol!
A wiki page about the Apollo fire. This place supplied the world with 80% of laquer discs for production till it burned to the ground in 2020. Now if you want em, gotta go to backlogged Japan. Never gonna be the same!

I don't know about that, either than some people praise them going way back. The laquer discs are distributed worldwide, but limited production, so record companies have went to DMM since.
Can't imagine stacking vinyl and just letting them drop like they used to! 😬😬
Only one place in the world can make the plates like they used to over in Japan. A dying thing.
Well not pressed as I said, but when they cut the record the older ones were cut in a laquer process that allowed then to cut deeper than most of what is made today. Now they use a copper plating and they have to go wide to get the deep sound. All changed after the Apollo fire a few years ago..
