Mal Reynolds(Firefly) Frieren, Kaburo (Dungeon Meshi), all characters who aren't murderous and don't like killing but if they conclude that they do need to kill someone they do it without hesitation and with ruthless efficiency.

I don't know why, but that's a character type I really like.

I actually spoke with someone who was absolutley stone cold certain that DST actually made the day longer and so getting rid of it would mean we'd starve since grain wouldn't get that extra hour of light.

I know it sounds like I'm making shit up, but I swear I'm not. Weirdest thing I've ever seen.

I'm pretty sure the only way Tesla can ever even try to recover from the damage Musk did to the brand would be to fire him and swear never to appoint an asshole like him again. And that might not work.

America clearly needs and wants immigrant labor.

There will therefore be immigrants coming here legally or not.

It's much better to admit reality (we need immigrant labor) and to have laws that make sense (allowing in the labor we need) rather than being racist idiots.

We're never going to win on being crude militant hyper aggressive border control fanatics. The Republicans are inherently better at that.

The only solution is to change the parameters and reframe the issue as an economic one of a demand for labor that will inevitably be supplied.

We don't NEED better/tighter/more border security.

We need to change our archaic, racist, and obviously inadiquate immigration policy to allow the migrant workers coming to America to do so legally.
