It is the hardest question in applying for jobs while disabled, and I don't know what the right answer is, or if there is one. I just know that I was out of fucks and was ready to walk if they said no.

They are from Operation Mincemeat, sung by submariners. But also are for the time in which we're living.

I was really open with them but this could have been as I was out of spoons and pretty sick during the hiring process. I didn‘t sign my contract until I had work from home days written in to it.

May I recommend a podcast called 'When we all get to Heaven" which is about MCC San Francisco, which follows how a gay church got through the AIDS crisis. It includes tape recordings from the church at the time and is incredibly moving.

Avocado on toast and leftover apple and rhubarb crumble and a big pot of tea. Much better than a sammie and canned coffee from a Balclutha supermarket, eaten either in the car or at the venue while we set up and try to get the place warm

I have brought some wood under shelter, cut some kindling and have laid the fire as tomorrow looks cold.

Also, I spent a joyful half hour on the village beach with friends this afternoon and weall felt like we were getting proper sun.
