A visitor came to my garden a little bit ago. She nibbled on my flower beds a bit, but I let her be since she's looking a bit on the skinny side. They're predicting a colder than normal Winter this year. She needs to plump up!

It was a hot Summer day. The heat pressed down, the breeze pulled it away, and the sky kept shifting with every moment of sun igniting, shade soothing. Standing there photographing the lily, I felt like the day itself was breathing.

Both! The younger, tender leaves are delicious raw in salads They’ve got a mild, earthy flavor, but they older leaves get more bitter as they age. Similar to spinach and other leafy greens in that sense.

I captured this beet leaf just after the rain. The droplets looked like tiny jewels. 🌱 Beyond their beauty, beet leaves are loaded with vitamins A, C & K, plus minerals like calcium and iron. Too good to toss aside after roasting the roots
