Finished drawing the cover and (true to character) forgot to post it. Better late than never, eh?

That list of strategies for you to work on at home does not encompass everything that that teacher is doing in the classroom.
Having moral standards and not voting for someone are evidence of hatred?

Y’all will go to any length to convince yourselves she wasn’t a bad candidate who ran a bad campaign and lost.
The l has never been taught as silent. Some accents just don’t pronounce it distinctly.

This is definitely the case in the generic midwestern accent that is most common on tv and in movies.
It’s absolutely wild seeing these people’s conspiracies about what they think is happening in classrooms.

Parents like this are part of why I quit teaching. If they were half as invested in their kids’ schooling as they are on social media, they might have a clue what was going on in the classroom
Please talk to some teachers.

I can see how it might look this way to you on the outside, but this is not what is happening in the classroom.
Schools often use sight words in coordination with phonics.

Sight words are the most basic, common words that are used all the time. It gives the kids a quick entry into reading (which gets them excited) as they learn phonics. By October, the new sight words are introduced as examples of phonics
That’s just not true.

Schools don’t all teach the same things. Every state has a different curriculum, and every district decides how they will teach those broad standards.

I was a teacher until 2013. We were absolutely teaching phonics in my school. So was my kid’s school district.
No kings parades aren’t going to be enough to change things though.

We need to solidify behind a list of demands (and escalating actions until they are achieved) if we want to drive change.

We’ve got the people.
Time to use them effectively.
It would be more effective if all these people were solidified behind a list of demands.

That’s the direction we need to steer this movement.
Now if only we could get the organizers of these massive events to solidify behind a list of demands, as well as a list of escalating actions until they are met.

Without that, these are sadly just parades. Not saying we shouldn’t do them - just that we need to take it up to the next level.
Cincy had one lone guy trying to instigate while his buddy filmed. It amounted to nothing. He tried saying he was scared and needed a police escort out, but even the cops weren’t interested in his bullshit.
Stop. Policing. Protest.

Parades aren’t going to fix this.

Costing them $$$ might.
As a teacher who spends his time bullying random accounts on social media, you WOULD be the expert.

Pretty fuckin sad, my dude.

Pretty. Fucking. Sad.
So will the non-peaceful ones.

If we’re judging through the lens of history.
Every one of these instagram events should be hijacked by people doing actual resistance work.

Bring zines and flyers. Start handing out info and networking with your community. Get people involved in the real work of resistance, in whatever form you pursue it.

No sense wasting a good crowd
Obligatory Reminder:

COPS ARE ALLOWED TO LIE TO YOU TO GET YOU TO INCRIMINATE YOURSELF

Don’t believe cops.

Don’t talk to cops unless you have to - and then you should ONLY ask if you are being detained, provide name etc if you are, & verbally state you are remaining silent until you get a lawyer
Thank you for confirming I was right about that arrogance…
Good luck on your journey to being a better human being.
MY arrogance? That’s rich.

And getting a bunch of people to pile on when you attack someone online is evidence of nothing except the toxicity of social media and online leftists.

Might be time to log off and do some self-reflection with what kind of human you are being.
You mean…conversation?

This thread is a perfect encapsulation of why people think leftists are gatekeeping assholes.

Remember that you cannot interpret tone when reading text. You might be jumping to conclusions and turning an honest conversation into a dog pile for no good reason.
Why would I know that about him?

Do you think everyone knows who he is? If you do, you live in a bubble and need to get out more.

I asked a polite question.

Look how you responded. Then ask yourself why everyone thinks people on the left are assholes.
How so?

Like, specifically.

Am I being derogatory?

Or am I using a colloquialism you personally have issue with?

Is it really worthy of you taking time out of your day to interject into a conversation you weren’t a part of to insult me?

How is that better than what you are accusing me of?
It’s easy to take shit out of context to dunk on people on social media.

Since when is asking a question of having a dialogue worthy of ridicule?

Oh that’s right. When the likes make you feel good.
Uh….thats why I asked the question and didn’t accuse him of being a fraud.

No need for you to get second hand defensive on this, except for that rush of adrenaline you get from replying.
What part of EVERYTHING going on in this country makes you think that it is in any way ok to EVER just take someone’s word for it that they are an expert? Or that a resume confirms expertise?

I was not rude.

I asked a clear and justifiable question.

So there is no need to apologize. Piss off.
