Happy #WorldHumanistDay! Are you a humanist, too?
Let's talk about death and dying. This guide is beautifully narrated and explained by the amazing Dr Mannix.
It's #DyingMattersWeek

We're all going to do it. Shouldn't we get our minds around what to expect?

Here's a 3 min guide. If you like it, please share it.

Dying for Beginners | Dr Kathryn Mannix
In modern British society, death is out of sight and behind closed doors. Many of us lack direct exposure to the dying process - with all sorts of potential emotional and spiritual consequences for how we grieve our loved ones, as well as how we prepare for our own deaths. What does the dying process actually look like? A short animation by Emily Downe, and voiced by Dr Kathryn Mannix which guides you gently on a step by step journey through the process of dying. Acclaimed author, speaker and former palliative care physician Dr Kathryn Mannix has spent her medical career working with people who have incurable, advanced illnesses. The author of two Sunday Times Bestsellers – With The End in Mind and Listen, Dr Mannix is on a mission to reclaim the public’s understanding of dying. 'Somehow it seemed as though the farm had grown richer without making the animals themselves any richer'

- Animal Farm, Orwell.
Looking at career progression opportunities on the usual intranet and Trac/NHS jobs etc but colleagues and friends seem to be getting jobs I haven't noticed being advertised. Is there somewhere else I should be looking?
Such a wonderful author and human being.
Great week this week, probably the best in my professional life. I graduated, a patient nominated me for my 2nd Daisy Award and my 1st ever assigned student nominated me for practice supervisor of the year award at their university. Unfortunately, it can only be down hill from here 🤣
First time I got some thing like this I almost cried! Not a great look on a 6ft 2 bearded bloke 😂
This is a very real issue yet we have NQNs unable to secure positions.

When did Nurses last store billions of pounds off shore?

When did Nurses last crash the economy by slashing business rates and taxes?

When did Nurses last extract wealth out of public services and sell of contracts to their mates?

Don't you dare try and blame us for your greed and corruption
